Wolfe Creek Non-Public Access Reclaimed Water Spray Field


  • Project included the design and construction of a 1,900 acre, 10.3 MGD, non-public access, reclaimed water spray field complete with a 30,000,000 Gallon HDPE lined storage pond, vertical turbine pump station (14,000 GPM @ 250 TDH) and thirteen (13) PLC controlled center pivot irrigation systems near Freeport, Florida.
  • Project responsibilities included, but were not limited to:
    • Detailed engineering and design
    • Regulatory permitting
    • Development of project specifications and bid packages
    • Solicitation of material and construction bids
    • Review contractor and material supplier pre-qualifications and award contracts
    • Construction supervision/management, inspection and certification
  • Project Summary:
    • Site grading (250,000 cubic yards cut/fill)
    • 1,566,000 square feet of HDPE liner
    • 7,300 linear feet of thirty-inch (30”) diameter PVC pipe
    • 2,500 linear feet of eighteen-inch (18”) diameter PVC pipe
    • 5,000 linear feet of ten-inch (10”) diameter PVC pipe
    • Thirteen (13) center pivot irrigation systems w/ end-guns and GPS control
    • Five (5) 250 HP, 4-stage vertical turbine pump with Variable Frequency Drives and 1,600 Amp electrical service.
    • Heated/cooled enclosure building rated at 140 MPH
    • Engineering Schedule: 16 weeks
    • Construction Schedule: 32 weeks
    • Approximate Project Cost: $3,500,000
