Choctawhatchee Bay Subaqueous Pipeline

  • Project included the design and construction of approximately 11,300 linear feet of thirty-inch (30”) raw water transmission line in the Choctawhatchee Bay, complete with 1,150 Two-Ton (2T), custom designed and fabricated, concrete anchors in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
  • Project responsibilities included, but were not limited to:
    • Detailed engineering and design
    • Regulatory permitting
    • Development of project specifications and bid packages
    • Solicitation of material and construction bids
    • Review contractor and material supplier pre-qualifications and award contracts
    • Construction supervision/management, inspection and certification
  • Project Summary:
    • 60,000 cubic yards of subaqueous excavation
    • 11,300 linear feet of thirty-inch (30”) diameter HDPE pipe
    • 1,130 Two-Ton (2T) concrete anchors
    • Engineering Schedule: 16 weeks
    • Construction Schedule: 28 weeks
    • Approximate Project Cost: $5,900,000
