Jesse A. Wallace, P.E.
EDUCATION: Master of Science in Civil Engineering, 1995 University of Illinois
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, 1994 University of Illinois
REGISTRATION: Professional Engineer -Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, NCEES Council Record
EXPERIENCE: Mr. Wallace has 12 years’ experience in the design of many types of structures from preliminary design through the construction phase. His experience includes the design of low, mid and high rise buildings utilizing structural steel, concrete, post-tensioned concrete, masonry, light gage metal, timber, engineered wood products and aluminum.
He has designed the structure of buildings for commercial, industrial, recreational and residential use.
Included in these projects are office buildings, hotels, parking garages, shopping centers, post offices, fire stations, hospitals, churches, banks, warehouses, apartments, condominiums and individual residences.
Mr. Wallace has extensive experience in structural analysis of both new buildings and renovation and expansion of
existing buildings. Renovation experience has involved both expansions to existing buildings and retrofit of structural systems to accommodate additional loads.
During his career, Mr. Wallace has been involved in the design of structures throughout the eastern United States
and Caribbean. This experience has allowed him to observe, study analyze and design a wide variety of structural systems exposed to many different load combinations.
Recently Mr. Wallace accepted a part-time professorship at Southern Polytechnic State University School of Architecture, Civil Engineering Technology and Construction. Currently his classes include basic structural analysis, wood and steel design and concrete and lateral loads. This opportunity allows Mr. Wallace to keep abreast of new
trends in his field and introduce students to the field of structural engineering.
