FORENSIC ANALYSIS & DAMAGE ASSESSMENT

Forensic analysis is the method to detect, identify the cause, and the possible solution of building defects or failures due to environmental impacts or construction faults. Damage assessments are the inspection of any building structure after an incident or natural disaster has occurred. O&A will review all available construction drawings and documents and perform a preliminary inspection to familiarize ourselves with the existing property, gather dimensional information and collect other site data specific to the project. O&A will perform a detailed visual inspection of the exterior building envelope, specifically focusing on the cladding, balconies, windows, doors, and roofs, to evaluate their condition and catalog our findings through written notes and photographs. O&A will provide a written report of our findings, complete with details and photographs. The report shall include detailed descriptions of the exterior building envelope components, outline any defects or anomalies observed, possible sources of water intrusion, and a summary of our recommendations. The report will also include an identification of locations on the building envelope that where inspected, the condition of the cladding, sealants, balconies, and concerns observed during the inspection, such as rotten wood, corroded metal, or water damage. Then based on the findings from the visual condition survey, O&A will perform a forensic analysis investigation or damage assessment in recommended areas to further evaluate the condition of the building components. O&A will provide a written report of our findings, complete with details and photographs. The report shall include detailed descriptions of the exterior building envelope components, outline any defects or anomalies observed, possible sources of water intrusion, and a summary of our recommendations. The report will also include an identification of locations on the building envelope that where inspected, the condition of the cladding, sealants, and concerns observed during the inspection, such as rotten wood, corroded metal, or water damage.
