Forensic Analysis

Structural Engineering

Forensic engineering is the application of engineering principles to the investigation of failures or other performance problems. Forensic engineering alone involves testimony on the finds of these investigations before a court of law.

O&A will review all available construction drawings and documents and perform a preliminary inspection to familiarize ourselves with the existing property, gather dimensional information and collect other site data specific to the project. O&A may also perform a detailed visual inspection of the structural building components to evaluate their condition and catalog our findings through written notes and photographs. Based on the findings from the visual condition survey, O&A will perform an analysis to evaluate the condition of the structural building components. O&A will use these findings to develop a set of comprehensive set of structural plans and/or written recommendations.
