What we build to.
Every page uses semantic headings in order, landmark regions, and a skip link that moves focus straight to the main content. Interactive controls carry accessible names, visible focus outlines, and touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels. Photographs carry alt text written from the project record rather than from a filename, and decorative overlays are hidden from assistive technology.
Where we test.
Layout, contrast, and focus order are checked at mobile, tablet, and desktop widths as part of the build process. Automated checks run on every release and cover color contrast, accessible names on interactive elements, and touch target sizing. Automated checks do not catch everything, so we also walk the primary paths with the keyboard alone.
Known accessibility limits.
Some documents we publish originate as sealed engineering reports in PDF form. Those documents carry the structure of the original submittal and may not be fully tagged for screen-reader use. If you need the content of a report in another format, ask and we will provide it.
Reporting a barrier.
Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you were using. We respond to accessibility reports on the same schedule as project inquiries.
