What a peer review is
Structural peer review is a technical review of a project by peers qualified through their experience with complex structural engineering design and analysis. The purpose is to raise the quality and the structural safety of the structural system.
Peer reviews also encourage safe design practice and collaborative engineering between professional structural engineers. Our priority is safe, high-quality engineering design, whoever produced it.
When owners order one
Owners order one for unusual geometry, long spans, or a heavily modified existing structure. They also order one when a jurisdiction or an insurer asks for a second opinion, or when the cost of being wrong exceeds the cost of the review.
