Walton County, FL
The work
Civil engineering for the expansion of the Camp Creek Golf Club onto vacant land to its east: paved roadways, sidewalks and parking, potable water and sanitary sewer including a new lift station, and stormwater management, permitted under a Walton County Major Development Order and Environmental Resource Permits while the existing facility stayed open. The build-out programme includes a 75-room three-story hotel, a 12,000 sq. ft. health and wellness center, a family pool and an adults-only lap pool, eight tennis and eight pickleball courts, three dining venues and a kids club.
Each line below is a discipline our staff carried on this project. The description explains what that work involves and what the owner receives at the end of it.
Turning a parcel into a buildable site. Grading, layout, utility routing, and a drawing set a reviewer can approve.
Sizing and routing the system that moves rainfall off the site at a rate the receiving system and the reviewing agency will accept.
Water and sewer service from the main to the building, sized for demand and coordinated with the utility that will own and operate it.
The gravity and lateral system for a new building, designed to the current Florida Building Code and the wind exposure the site sits in.
Structural design inside an existing building: openings, additions, and load path changes worked out against what is actually there.
Work in Walton County follows the same sequence at any size. Owners see the same four stages.
We ask what prompted the call, what documents already exist, and what deadline is driving the schedule. If the work does not need an engineer, we say so.
A licensed engineer or a staff member working under one goes to the site, documents conditions, and reviews the drawings and reports already on file.
Findings, drawings, and specifications go out under seal, written so a board can read them and a contractor can bid from them.
During construction we review submittals, answer requests for information, perform Construction Observations, and review pay applications against work in place.
